New ways to save something delicious, plan your meals, and keep the household in sync.
0.3.6Latest published
More room for recipes. Less work for groceries.
Continuous recipe browsing, easier ingredient adding, and more room to focus while cooking.
New in this version
Continuous recipe browsing adds more results as you go, with a Load more option and return-position improvements.
Add Ingredients starts with every ingredient selected and This week as the destination. Choose another list or adjust the selection before adding.
Cooking mode makes more room for the recipe by removing the branding header. Chef’s notes spacing and illustrated-theme photo borders are refined.
Optional AI dish-image generation offers a preview for recipes without a photo. Generation requires consent to send the title, ingredients and directions; accept the image before it is saved. Generated images remain labeled. Availability depends on service configuration.
Support for the branded app address and the original Airo address, with separate sign-ins on each.
0.3.5
An easier way to send feedback.
Feedback reaches an administrator inbox inside the app, alongside a few useful layout refinements.
Feedback and everyday polish
Feedback is saved directly for the administrator to review, without relying on email delivery. Administrators can mark messages as read to clear them from the inbox.
The Settings menu is aligned to the right, and recipe photo galleries align with the recipe content.
The bulk-sharing picker shows recipes you have not already shared.
0.3.4
A maintenance update for feedback.
Improved diagnosis of feedback connection failures.
Maintenance
Refined feedback connection diagnostics while keeping message text and credentials out of diagnostic output. This release did not fix email delivery; version 0.3.5 replaced it with the in-app inbox.
0.3.3
Better visibility into feedback errors.
A focused maintenance release to help investigate failed feedback delivery.
Maintenance
Added privacy-conscious delivery diagnostics to distinguish connection and delivery failures. Feedback behavior was otherwise unchanged.
0.3.2
Your recipe collection, your way.
Browse visually, keep source photos close, and share recipes with more control.
Recipe views and photos
Switch between a compact recipe list and a responsive recipe grid. Your view preference is saved for your account.
Keep up to three dish photos with a recipe, adjust their crop, and open the uncropped images in a full-screen gallery.
Original import photos are kept separately for household reference and are not included in community sharing.
Recipe sharing is integrated into the recipe workflow, with community reporting, moderation tools and sharing limits.
Improved household continuity during account deletion and reinstatement.
0.3.1
Cook together. Pick up where you left off.
Shared cooking progress and multi-photo importing make everyday meal preparation easier.
A shared cooking workspace
Cook recipe opens large ingredient and direction checkboxes, an elapsed-time display, and meal notes. Household members can resume the same cooking session.
Saved checklists and notes survive navigation and sign-in changes. Finish cooking to save a Chef’s Diary entry with elapsed time; cancel to leave the recipe planned without a diary entry.
Import up to five recipe photos together with AI when configured. Review the extracted recipe before saving; standard website importing remains independent of AI.
A smoother start and shopping trip
Grocery checkoffs respond immediately, with a brief delay before moving into Checked so you can undo an accidental tap.
Find your household time zone with city or region search. Weekly scheduling stays in Settings.
Invited members start their personal setup with appearance. Both final walkthrough choices save completion before opening the kitchen or guide.
Added Send Feedback and menu logout, plus administrator usage reports. Feedback delivery was subsequently improved in 0.3.5.
0.3.0
A warmer welcome. A smoother routine.
Get settled with guided setup, keep your grocery list moving, and carry your recipes with you when your household changes.
Getting started, together
A welcome flow guides new and existing members through account details, household time zone and week-start day, helper invitations, and appearance.
Setup and the five-step grocery-list tour remember your progress, so you can return and continue where you left off.
Invite up to three other people with private invitation links you share yourself. No invitation email is sent automatically.
Preview a theme before saving it, or skip appearance setup to keep your previous choice. Welcome animations respect reduced-motion preferences.
A new menu puts Settings and the full “How to use this app” guide within reach.
Small improvements you’ll use every day
Community browsing has a simpler public layout, with search, filters, recipe details, and a clear way to get started without signing in first.
Checked groceries appear newest first, with the order kept after reloading. Clear checked items sits beside the checked section, and New list sits outside the list panel.
Opening a recipe starts at the top. Recipes without cooking history no longer show an empty Past meals section.
Recipes and notes that stay with you
Add chef’s notes with your name attached. Your household can read them, and only you can edit your own. Existing shared recipe notes remain editable by the household.
When a member is removed from a household, they keep their account and receive independent copies of its saved recipes, photos, categories, shared notes, and their own chef’s notes in a separate household.
The original household keeps its recipes and notes. Copied recipes retain their serving scale but start unplanned; grocery lists, meal history, other members’ chef’s notes, and household ratings are not copied.
0.2.2
Share more favorites. Make it feel like yours.
Multi-recipe sharing, quicker grocery checkoffs, and more ways to personalize your kitchen.
Share a collection, with a clear review
Select several recipes from My Recipes, search by title, and review the recipe, photo, source, and categories before sharing to the community.
Sharing requires your confirmation. This multi-recipe flow excludes notes and household ratings, while preserving existing public ratings.
See progress and a public link for each successful share. Stop after the current recipe or retry remaining recipes after an error. Progress is shown while the sharing dialog stays open.
A more comfortable everyday app
Grocery checkmarks respond immediately while individual items save independently. If a save cannot be confirmed, the previous checkmark is restored and a Retry action is offered.
Mobile navigation stays on a single scrollable row, with consistent headings across app pages.
Nine appearance themes: Classic, Garden, Hearth, 50’s Housewife, Coastal, Lavender, Espresso, Citrus, and Witch’s Brew. Each supports light and dark appearance.
Theme colors carry through the logo while keeping the familiar Serve Something lettering. 50’s Housewife and Witch’s Brew add illustrated recipe-page backgrounds.
Appearance preferences stay in your current browser; they do not sync between devices.
0.2.0
From planning dinner to remembering a favorite.
A cooking diary, weekly groceries, broader recipe discovery, and new ways to bring recipes into your collection.
Plan, cook, and remember
Planned Meals replaces Going to Make. Record a meal as cooked or skipped, add a meal date and notes, or change your mind without creating a diary entry.
Chef’s Diary keeps your household’s meal history. Edit dates and notes, optionally show skipped meals, and sort recipes by recently cooked. Skipped meals do not count as cooked.
Saved recipes support editing, source links, search, category filters, and sorting. Use standard recipe categories or your own household categories; edits to a saved community copy stay separate from its public version.
Groceries that follow your week
This week and Next week lists use a shared household schedule. Choose the time zone and week-start day; the default is Monday at 6 a.m.
At the weekly rollover, unchecked Next week items move into This week without clearing existing groceries. Checked Next week items stay where they are. You can also start a new week manually.
Move individual groceries between household lists while preserving their checked state and recipe references. Grocery categorization and mobile category controls were refined.
More ways to find and save recipes
Search community recipes by title, description, ingredient, or contributor display name, alongside category filters and sorting.
Import a photo of a printed English recipe in JPG, PNG, or WebP format, up to 5 MB. Review the extracted text, ingredients, quantities, and directions before explicitly saving the draft.
Website importing recognizes more recipe-page formats and offers a helpful fallback when a page cannot be read. You can still add or edit a recipe yourself.
Household recipe edits stay separate from public sharing. Public updates use a separate confirmation, with notes excluded unless you choose to include them.
Appearance and account choices
Introduced Classic, Garden, and Hearth themes, with light, dark, and follow-device modes saved in the current browser.
Account settings let you request deletion with a password confirmation and a 30-day reinstatement window. Normal app access pauses during that window; signing in alone does not cancel the request.
Deleting an account preserves other household members’ shared data. Retained community recipes and ratings are attributed to Former member, with public contribution notes removed.
Recipe collections, imports, and Settings received more compact layouts for desktop and phone screens.
This version history begins with 0.2.0. Earlier versions introduced the core recipe collection, shared household grocery lists, serving adjustments, and community recipes.
